I wish that you could see what I see when I look at you: a wonderful, amazing soul wrapped up in a package of absolute beauty.

I wish that you could see how beautiful you are. How every flaw and imperfection does not take away from that beauty, but rather adds to it, because each one is a part of you, a thread in the tapestry that makes you who you are, a tapestry that I could stare at forever and still not know every part of it, my heart aching with longing for how absolutely perfect it is.

I wish you could see how your eyes make my stomach flutter every time you turn your gaze on me. How when you smile or laugh, your whole face lights up and everything about you shines.

I wish you could see how you move. How you handle yourself with surety and pride despite everything you’ve been through, rising above it in a way that only you can. How you face your struggles with determination no matter how hard they try to drown you.

I wish that you could see what I see when I look at you, for I do not see a broken soul in a broken body. I see a woman, whole, pure, strong, beautiful. I see you as you are, not through rose coloured glasses or the shadows that sometimes threaten to overwhelm you. I see you, bright and pure and unique as a snowflake.

I wish that you could see yourself through my eyes, because you deserve to know what you look like to me.
